Link Crew

What is Link?
Link is a program to help settle grade 9 students into the new hectic high-school atmosphere. It is a program that creates an environment that is positive, supportive, and gives the new grade 9 students a sense of belonging. This gives each student a foundation to begin their “high school experience”.  It is a year long orientation/transition program that is turning heads in both Canada and the United States.

A group of grade 10, 11, and 12 students make up what is known as the “Link Crew."  The Link Crew help guide the new grade 9 students as they learn how to deal with and overcome the challenging life of a high school teenager. The Link Crew have the opportunity to be motivators, teachers, and role models. They help give you the building blocks to be successful in high school.

Each member of the Link Crew does “Follow-Ups” periodically throughout the year, where they take time with a small group of grade 9 students to discuss how they are doing socially and academically. In addition, the Link Crew informs their younger peers about up-coming events while encouraging them to be involved in the life of the school!
